What's The Difference Between A Hose And A Hard Tube?
- Mar 16, 2018 -

There are usually two types of hose: a composite hose and a plastic hose. Because of the thin plastic hose and easy to be brittle, it is rarely used in the new wind system, because it is not easy to replace it. The composite hose has PVC protective film on the outer surface to make the surface. There are two steel bars for aluminum foil and supporting pipes. The existence of steel bars is not easy to crush the pipes when they are bent.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the hose and the hard pipe?

The advantages of the hose:

1. Shorter construction period relative to hard pipe

2. It is convenient to change the position of the pipe and outlet in the later period.

3. It can be applied to the condition that the ceiling or the old house has been reconstructed, and it is not afraid to destroy a part of the ceiling.

4, can stick to the ceiling and the wall, the room level is relatively low, do not want to hang too low friends are the choice of choice

5, because the hose is easy to turn and has strong ductility, there are too many kinds of pipelines on the ceiling, such as air conditioning pipes, heating pipes, fire hoses, etc., and it doesn't need to destroy too many walls.

At the same time, there are some shortcomings in the use of hose for the new air system.

1. The hose has no PVC hard tube and is easily cut or scratched.

2, because the hose is folded, so the inner wall is not smooth, resulting in a larger wind resistance, and the ventilation effect will be discounted.

3, it is also due to the large internal resistance of the hose, so the main unit of the tube is larger than the rigid one, and the air volume of the main pipe is larger. Moreover, the hose can not be sent to too far away, and there are too many bends and hoses. The central new wind system is the PVC tube, the main component is PVC, and other components are added to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. Our common home sewer is, only those are water, fresh air ventilation system is used.

Hoses generally use composite hoses, the outer layer has PVC protective film to make the surface, and there are two steel bars for aluminum foil and supporting pipes. The existence of reinforcing bars is not to make the pipes glue together and not to squash easily when bending. The hose has the advantages of short construction period, low requirement for storey height and convenient installation and reconstruction in the later stage. The drawback is that the volume of air supply is large, but the wind resistance is also large. The effect of ventilation and ventilation will be reduced, and compared with the hard pipe, it is not so strong.

The advantages of hard pipe:

1, hard, strong and durable, it is not easy to damage for years.

2, the inner wall is smooth, the wind resistance is small, the air volume attenuation is not obvious, it can be sent to the far room.

The shortcoming of hard pipe in the new air system:

1. The construction period is long (compared with hose), the cost is higher

2, it is difficult to change the pipeline or change the outlet position of the tuyere in the later period

3, in the place where the ceiling has been installed, there is no way to use it. The top space pipeline is not good to use.

4, due to the fixed hard pipe and bend do need more space, so do the ceiling height than the general hose, in view of the advantages and disadvantages between the two, in the fresh air system inside the general will use the combination of the two, the main pipeline is hard tube, and the hose connecting branch host etc..

The hard pipe is PVC tube, the main component is PVC, and other components are added to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. Hard pipe has the advantages of strong and durable, long distance air supply, and no obvious attenuation of air volume, and its disadvantages lie in long construction, high cost and inconvenience of later transformation.
